We unscrewed the cap of this wine last night… don’t let the second word of that sentence cause you pause. It could have been the guests at our house or the warm and saucy lasagna or just the wine itself, but whatever it was… it was good!
The wine is very easy to drink (and open :-)) – Ruby red and clear in the glass.
Tiny tannins smoothed out the mouth and covered the palate with ripe, just picked fruit (not jammy) and a lasting, mellow finish.
As a blend, I expected layers of flavor and texture… and that is what I got! The Shiraz provided the fruit… plum, berries and cherries with a hint of earth. The Grenache added the punch of spice, tobacco and depth.
I would buy a few of bottles of Razor’s Edge…nice wine!
