A very simple type of cranberry side dish; I guess I consider it a relish instead of a sauce since it isn't cooked. More importantly, includes some Grand Marnier in place of orange juice!
This recipe is listed on the Food Network as a creation of Tyler Florence; I don't recall getting it there but then I don't recall where each and every recipe I use has come from…so we'll give this one to Tyler!
Each Thanksgiving it's fun to find a new take on an old favorite. It is so easy to do; I'm sure you'll agree.
2 pounds fresh cranberries
1 C sugar
¼ C Grand Marnier liqueur
1 orange, zested and juiced
Place all the ingredients in the bowl of a food processor and pulse several times to breakdown the cranberries and incorporate the ingredients; it should still be a bit
chunky. Allow the cranberry relish to sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes so the flavors can marry.
